7:30-8:30 p.m. Iroquois families/students meet in the cafeteria to try out instruments.

Fourth grade is an exciting year because your child will have the opportunity to begin participating in our strong instrumental music program. All students will be given the opportunity to learn how to play a band or string instrument next year. At the meeting, you will hear a special short performance from our IHS Wind Ensemble and Philharmonic Orchestra. We will also discuss the collaborative process that you, your child and teachers will experience over the next few months to determine which instrument matches your child’s interest. In addition, your child will have opportunities to see and touch instruments, so they can begin to determine what they will enjoy playing the most.

If you are unable to make the meeting and have questions regarding the process, contact our K-12 Music Coordinator and Director of Performing Arts, Mr. Steven Zugelder at (585) 336-2948 or steven_zugelder@westiron.monroe.edu
