Irondequoit High School and Listwood have both been recognized by the State Education Department as “Recognition Schools.” They are among 562 statewide (in 211 districts) that earned the distinction for the 2017-18 school year.

To do so, elementary and middle schools must have high academic achievement and student growth, according to NYSED, and high schools must have high academic achievement and meet a certain graduation rate standard. They must also perform acceptably on other accountability indicators.
