We ask that all groups make arrangements prior to visiting by calling 336-3035 or emailing the appropriate staff-person; reviewing our "Program Guide for Educators" beforehand will help us together plan the best program possible for your group:
School Group Programming
Our trained environmental educators lead both half-day (~1.5 hours) and full-day (~4.0 hours) school programs focused on a number of standards-based environmental topics on-site at our Center. As one of the few educational facilities in Monroe County that does maple sugaring in March and snowshoeing in the snowy months, those programs are particularly popular. See above "Program Guide" for details, specific pricing, and reservation information.
Please be advised that, due to limited indoor space and staff, the nature center cannot accommodate more than 50 students per program session.
We also offer outreach programs to bring curriculum-based science lessons into school classrooms; see above 'Program Guide" for details, specific pricing, and reservation information.

We offer recreational, educational and service project opportunities along with a variety of badge and pin programs to scout groups; see brochures below for details. Contact Becky Leidig with inquiries.
